Featured in this week’s batch of photos: …a trip to a National Guard recruit training at Spokane Airsoft, located in Northtown Mall. The recruits spent their Saturday learning the techniques of combat through a presentation. On Sunday, they put those skills to work by walking, running and crawling through an airsoft “kill house”. The opposing force was made up of the store’s employees and volunteers.
…a photo adventure to the Browne’s Addition neighborhood where the owner of the Edgington House was finishing up the exterior painting of the historical home. Virgil Gering has owned the house located at 1st and Cannon for 33 years.
…a trip to the site where the city plans on demolishing one half of a building located at Washington and Cataldo. The Broadview Dairy building, formerly known as the Carnation building, houses Caterina Winery and a Homeland Security office. That half of the building is on the historic registry and will not be demolished. It’s the other half that will bite the dust.
